Key Differentiators

VALUE-ADDED HYDROPROCESSING

An evolution of the proven CENTERA technology, CENTERA GT products are designed to maximize performance in multiple applications including Hydrocracking, FCCPT, Distillate Hydrotreating, and Base Oils. No matter the application, the catalysts in the CENTERA GT platform share a common goal – to drive feed flexibility, reliability and profitability.

Hydrocracking

The hydrocracking process provides refiners flexibility in selection of crudes, processing of heavy, cracked feeds and producing a range of premium fuels, base oils and petrochemical feedstocks, all directed at improving margins.  In many cases, the pretreatment catalyst system limits the ability to achieve either the severity of upgrading needed or the subsequent cycle life desired. The primary benefit of the CENTERA GT DN-3622 NiMo hydrocracker pretreatment catalyst is up to a 25% increase in hydrodenitrogenation (HDN) performancehowever there are similar benefits in hydrodesulfurisation (HDS) as well as a substantial increase in aromatic saturation (HDAr).

 

Distillate Hydrotreating

DN-3638 NiMo is designed for units with a strong hydrogenation environment that are looking to upgrade refractory feeds to diesel. It’s top tier HDS and aromatic saturation activity enables processing of more cracked feeds with higher end point, switching to a more profitable crude slate or debottlenecking of existing units. DC-2638 CoMo enhances ULSD performance in the low to medium pressure range by providing step-out activity and stability compared to the current market-leading catalysts. It is ideally suited for activity constrained units processing challenging feeds at low pressure.

FCC Pretreat

With three new products now available for FCC Pretreat service, CENTERA GT can enable increased feed flexibility,  improved FCC conversion, and higher quality products. DN-3655 NiMo enhances performance while maintaining stability, particularly in high severity applications that require maximum activity to process challenging feeds. We have seen HDN performance increase up to 30% and HDS gain by 15-20%. DC-2655 CoMo is particularly well suited in low-to-moderate pressure units where hydrogen optimization and stability are critical. DC-2656 CoMo works well for high-quality FCC feed production in moderate-to-high pressure units where HDS, HDN, and hydrogenation reactions are valued.

Base Oils

As the demand for Group II and III base oils grows, CENTERA GT's entire suite of solutions can enhance processes by which profitable base oils can be created. Careful consideration goes into building these solutions for pretreating, dewaxing, and hydrofinishing in order to achieve high yields and enhanced quality base oils: high-performance catalysts like CENTERA GT's are key for each step in this process. Whether your refinery is leveraging hydrocracking or hydrotreating to maximize value of base oils, CENTERA GT can provide the flexibility and profitability to enhance your margins.
